He characterizes crooked cops and diabolical politicians masquerading as patriots with appropriate voices. Wolf, a ruthless mercenary skilled at torture, is portrayed with menace as he works on Bolden to extract information and leave his "mark" on him. A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Texas at Austin, he worked in Switzerland before returning to the United States to pursue a career as a novelist.
