Global Trade Center Named China's MostCelebrated Real Estate Project of 2008-09
On February 12, the Ninth Annual Workshop of Chinese Real EstateDevelopment 2009 was held at the Beijing International Hotel with thetheme of"Building China's Post-Crisis Real Estate." During this work-shop, the Beijing Global Trade Center won the prize for China's MostCelebrated Real Estate Project of 20084）9 for its excellent leasing perfor-mance and well-established market brand and the attention it has attracted. This annual workshop was co-hosted by the Institute of Enterprises un-der the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Institute ofReal Estate Studies at Tsinghua University and the China Index ResearchInstitute. Renowned economists and entrepreneurs participated in the gala,including Chen Xiaohong, Director of the Institute of Enterprises under theDevelopment Research Center of the State Council; Li Daokui, Directorof the Institute of Real Estate Studies at Tsinghua University, professorat the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua Universityand Director of the Center for China in the World Economy at TsinghuaUniversity; Meng Xiaosu, President of China National Real Estate GroupCorp. and Pan Shiyi, Chairman of SOHO China. They reviewed andpresented their forecasts for the macro-economic situation and conductedin-depth dialogues on opportunities and challenges for China's real estateindustry in the future. The workshop also summarized China's real estate industry de-velopment between 2008 and 2009 and awarded prizes to individuals,enterprises, blogs and projects that had contributed to real estate inBeijing, including the Global Trade Center, which was named China'sMost Celebrated Real Estate Project of 2008-2009.
