内容简介 This book examines the concepts, issues, and practices that comprise the core of organizational leadership from a global perspective. Underpinning its story with a mixture of description, analysis, and critique, this book achieves a distinct point of view by examining leadership through a variety of unusual prisms and by giving competing and globally diverse viewpoints equal shares in the debate.

Organizational Leadership" provides an incisive treatment of the gamut of the relevant literature, including the principal theories of management, leadership, motivation and teamwork. Even postmodernism finds a home here. This book is integrated within a useful framework which "...stresses the nucleus of leadership - context, leader and followers.

The broad and inclusive literature is interesting and informative.

This innovative, wide-ranging and stimulating textbook makes a valuable and distinctive contribution to the understanding and teaching of leadership issues. It is likely to become essential reading for many courses on leadership. Skilfully mixing theory and practice, the authors lead students through the burgeoning literature whilst drawing on extensive examples to illustrate their points, backed up with state of the art teaching technologies. The authors also go much further by developing their own ‘tri-axis model’ of context, leaders and followers and by examining key questions like power, gender, language, communication and team-working; issues frequently neglected in many leadership texts. This is a very thought-provoking and thorough review of organizational leadership—I can highly recommend it!
