Hands-on coaching on developing a core set of leadership skills.
Jo Owen doesn't seek to define what makes a good leader. Instead, he asks "How can people learn to lead?" He interviewed more than 1,000 leaders worldwide to identify 50 essential skills which all leaders need to develop. In "The Leadership Skills Handbook," he presents them as practical tips, exercises and examples. Presented in workbook format, the book allows readers to develop their own formula for success by recording notes and real-life experiences.
作者简介 JO OWEN is a successful business leader, social entrepreneur and speaker. He is a co-founder of three charities: Teach First, which is now one of the UK's top graduate recruiters, Future Leaders which develops head teachers for urban schools and StartUp which helps offenders start their own businesses on release from prison.

As a business leader, Jo led a business in Japan for three years; he was a partner at Accenture and was the architect of what is now HBOS business banking. He was also the best nappy salesman in Birmingham and put the blue speckle in Daz.

He has written extensively for the business press and his books include "How to Lead" and "How to Manage" (both Pearson). He is in demand as a speaker on leadership, change, organisation, strategy and the corporate tribe. He can be contacted at jo.owen@leadershippartnership.com
媒体推荐 "while most leadership books try to answer the question 'what is good leadership?', this book is different. it starts with the question 'how can you learn to lead?' and is about more then just technical skills." call centre focus "in a splendid, humorous yet non-patronising way owen focuses on how to learn to lead rather then learning about the processes and theories of leadership." professional manager
