内容简介 It was from the 50s onwards that Spain became one of the countries to attract tourism and the first tourist buildings began to be erected. From 1960, tourism was no longer a minor activity, and mass tourism started. It was then that most of tourist construction was built in certan Mediterranean and Canary islands regions. The sun was and still is the prime determining factor in this phenomenon, followed by geographical situation, landscape, beaches, history, architecture. Perhaps because it has been accompanied on certain occasions by an over rapid and unregulated process of urban development, what is known as the architecture of the sun has been widely and mistakenly dismissed from the point of view of architectural quality. For that reason, this publication, which gathers together a small sample of this type of architecture, is a notable contribution that offers evidence to the contrary.
