作者简介 Samuel C Weaver is Associate Professor at Lehigh. Prior to his appointment to the full-time faculty at Lehigh in January 1998, Dr. Weaver was the Lauer Adjunct Professor of Finance at Lehigh University (1986-1997) and the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Hershey Foods Corporation. That past position combined the theoretical with the pragmatic and involved the analysis of many different facets of finance including: mergers and acquisition analysis, strategic planning, performance measurement, operational plans, industry group comparisons, divestiture assessment, alternative financing evaluations, dividend policy, capital expenditure analysis, and the determination of the cost of capital and divisional hurdle rates. His personal research has revolved around areas of corporate finance and investment analysis including divisional/project hurdle rates, capital budgeting, financial performance measurement, program trading, arbitrage between markets and international investments. Dr. Weaver is the co-author (with J. Fred Weston) of two books, FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING FOR NON-FINANCIAL MANAGERS and MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS (McGraw Hill, Executive MBA Series, 2001), and has published in numerous Finance and Accounting academic journals. Dr. Weaver teaches Corporate Finance at the graduate and undergraduate levels at Lehigh University. In 1999, he was honored as the outstanding MBA professor of the year. Prior to joining Hershey Foods as Manager, Corporate Financial Analysis, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at Elizabethtown College and performed a consulting function at Hershey Foods.
