作者简介 Mikhail Yur'evich Lermontov (1814-1841) was, after Pushkin, Russia's leading romantic poet. In 1837, upon Pushkin's death, he was arrested for his poem of invective against the Court Circle and sent to the army in the Caucasus. A few years later, he was challenged to a duel by an officer and was killed on the spot.
