This two volume reference for gastrointestinal and liver disease has been revised and updated into a very smart, useful modern textbook. It is extremely detailed, well referenced and researched. The text is easy to follow and set out in a structured and organised fashion. There are sections on diagnosis of conditions based purely on signs and symptoms - so it's helpful in the real world!
Overall this is a thorough and complete gastroenterology reference text which I would recommend to everybody who works in this field.

A book to be had for the GI registrar enough to easily function and look smart at the RITA but not enough to stun the professorial ward round. Good images and text that make it readable into the section beyond the one you were looking up. Better than Medscape coverage for many conditions - particularly the images. Worth having.
