Paper is amazing stuff. It's cheap, easy to use, and easy to recycle. It's lightweight and easy to cut or tear--but incredibly strong when folded, layered, or rolled. It can stand stiff as a board, pop up like a spring, or hang softly like a silk scarf. It's disposable, but it can last for centuries. Its surface can be rough, or creamy smooth, or shiny. Very cool. I have bought several of the Make series books to share with my students. It offers a different view on objects they see all the time! Great examples and pictures to help create!

I'll have to try some of these at my library. Good instructions and diagrams. I especially want to try the generator.

My kid likes making anything out of paper/cardboard. This was a Christmas gift and has entertained her for hours.
