This book was purchased to accompany an ant farm that I purchased for my seven year old grandson for his birthday.
He was thrilled with both items and did a presentation with them for his school class and later with other classmates for their animal unit. Each child dressed as their favorite animal and presented interesting facts about their animal to parents and friends at a program.
The book gave my grandson enough facts to complete his report.
My 4 year old son has recently shown an interest in ants. In order to encourage that interest, I ordered this book and he has thoroughly enjoyed it. We go on daily walks searching for ant mounds. In addition, he wants me to read it to him each night before bed time.
We recently bought my five year old an ant farm and needed a educational book on ants to go with it. This one is great! He is starting kindergarten this year and is an emerging reader and the pictures and exciting text kelp him interested. He is at a level that he can read some of the word himself as it is a Level one reader book. Very informative and fun to read!!
This book is really going to help my grandson learn about his new ant farm and how to take good care of his ants. love it.
