I really love this Daniel Z series. It's so different from the other books Patterson writes. I enjoy the surprises along the way of reading these books too. The whole "how will he get out of this situation now" scenarios, and how he does just keeps me interested, and turning the next page.

I bought 40 books to complete my collection by S. Cannell, M. Connelly, J. Patterson, & J. Wambaugh. I haven't read all of them yet, but these guys have never disappointed, and I don't think that they ever will.That's why I read them.

Something for the young at heart so to speak. James Patterson certainly has an interesting imagination. I enjoyed the preview and will read more.

I liked the concept of the book, but writing a literary review based on a few chapter teaser is difficult. I was not invested in the characters by the end of the preview. I was not captivated by scenery or even the action sequences. It was ok, but not spectacular. I truly hope in the full novel that character and setting development is more thorough.

I really enjoyed this one. It's typical that Daniel get himself in a situation that is difficult, but in this one he seems to have feeling a typical teenager would have. We know he is going to defeat the aliens, but to walk back with Merlin and to protect the girl he loves (even though she isn't real) brings a new aspect to the challenge.
