北达卡他州立大学成立于1890年，是一所综合性大学，提供科学和数学，工程和建筑学，农业，人类发展和教育，商业管理，药学，艺术，人类学和社会学等学科的广泛教学和研究。有强大的工程专业，化学和生物也是热门。 学校服务与设施： 抵达路线 　　到达Fargo 由NW西北航线到达Hector国际机场，必须从其他机场搭乘飞机到达Fargo(FAR) 1、 地区介绍 　　FARGO是北达科他州最大的城市，位于北达科他州及明尼苏达州交界处，人口大约有十万人左右。FARGO城市不算繁华，但这里的人很友好。FARGO现有近十家中国餐馆及两家中国食品店，所以饮食上还算方便。在FARGO 的中国人不足200人，数目相对于其它许多美国城市来说不算多。然而这里的中国学生学者互相之间都很熟悉，相处也非常融洽和睦。紧张的学习与工作之余，这里的同学经常三两的聚集在一起打球、钓鱼、出游、或切磋厨艺。 凭学生证学生坐巴士免费。 　　北达科他州地势平坦，且北面接壤加拿大，所以这里的冬天特别的寒冷而且多风。天气通常于十月便开始转凉，漫长的冬季要到来年的六月才结束。厚厚的积雪一直是这里冬季的主题。一月是这里最冷的季节，白天最低气温可达摄氏零下35度。冬日厚厚的白雪和茫茫的大雾围拢着清冷的高速公路，远处渐渐开来一辆破旧的OLDSMOBILE美式老车…这就是寒冬FARGO最好的写真。这里的春夏由六月中持续到九月，此间气候宜人，白天有时会比较炎热，但晚间大多还算凉爽。 2、入学要求 　（1） 学士申请者需要高中毕业，GPA在2.5以上，TOEFL 525或雅思6.0以上。TOEFL450- TOEFL 525可以参加ESL。TOEFL450以下必须通过MIEC测试。 　（2） 硕士申请者必须已获得学士学位，GPA在3.0以上，TOEFL500或IELTS5.5需要读ESL, TOEFL525-600
